Appointment with Dr Johnson
“Will you be able to attend?”
“Yes, I’ll be there.”
One routine task handled.
Oral Connect AI Check-In confirms tomorrow’s appointments, giving your team more time for the conversations that need a human touch: helping patients book, following up unfinished treatment and providing personal care.
Illustrative conversation. Marleybourne Dental Clinic, Alex and Dr Johnson are fictional; this is not a patient recording or evidence of a PMS update.
Hello, am I speaking with Alex? This is the AI appointment assistant for Marleybourne Dental Clinic.
Yes, speaking.
You have an appointment with Doctor Johnson at half past two tomorrow. Will you be able to attend?
Yes, I’ll be there.
Thank you. Your attendance is confirmed. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
Thank you, goodbye.
An illustrative current workload: 30 minutes a day × 20 working days. This is time spent confirming appointments, not a promise that every hour will be recovered.
Available as a standalone service or an optional add-on to Starter or Growth. VAT treatment, included usage, any overage charges and standalone PMS requirements are still to be confirmed.
Thirty minutes is an illustrative workload to consider for your practice, not a measured average or a promised saving.
Actual time freed will depend on call outcomes and the exceptions your reception team handles. Confirm the commercial terms and your practice setup with us before subscribing; this page does not take payment.
The service calls patients already booked for tomorrow to ask whether they will attend. It is designed to support reception, not replace the team or make clinical decisions.
Start from the next day’s booked appointments. Identify the call as AI-assisted, check attendance and record an outcome through a validated practice workflow.
Questions outside confirmation, unclear answers and requests the workflow cannot safely complete should pass to reception. Patient preferences, contact arrangements and the handover process need to be agreed during setup.
This AI workflow is not for outbound sales calls to new leads, inbound call answering or clinical questions. Oral Connect’s existing staff-led calling and follow-up is a separate workflow.
AI Check-In is live. Introduce it to one routine task first, review the outcomes and expand only where it fits your practice. Gradual adoption does not mean handing over your whole reception workflow.
Confirm the supported PMS connection, patient contact arrangements, availability, cancellation policy and route to reception during setup.
AI calls patients already booked for the next day, so routine attendance confirmation does not require a member of reception to make every call.
Note cancellations and confirm appointment changes within the configured practice rules. Check the supported PMS actions during setup; unclear or out-of-policy requests go to reception.
Review confirmation outcomes and exceptions with your team. Keep sales conversations, unfinished-treatment follow-up and personal patient care with your people.
Dentally is an existing Oral Connect integration. During setup, confirm the appointment outcomes and changes supported by your connection, the required permissions and how conflicting or failed updates reach your team. A completed confirmation call should not be mistaken for a successful PMS update.

Next-day booked appointments define the scope. Which patients can appropriately be contacted, their preferences, call handling and exceptions must be agreed and validated during setup. This is not permission to call every record without checks.
Cancellations are noted and appointment changes follow configured availability and practice rules, subject to the PMS actions confirmed during setup. Unclear or out-of-policy requests go to reception. AI Check-In does not invent fees, waive charges or collect payments autonomously.
Transparent AI identification is a design requirement for the service. The wording, patient contact arrangements and route to a person need review during setup.
No. This service is limited to outbound confirmation of existing next-day appointments. Clinical questions and other requests belong with the practice team.
That depends on your practice workflow and call outcomes. Review your current confirmation workload, completed calls and exceptions requiring staff time. We do not promise a fixed daily saving.
The proposed price is £99 a month, standalone or as an optional add-on to Starter or Growth. It is not included automatically. VAT treatment, usage allowance, overages and standalone PMS requirements remain to be confirmed before an offer is finalised.
